MoKont started with a simple frustration — invoicing and tax in Mauritius was harder than it needed to be. So we built something that actually works the way Mauritius works.

Why MoKont exists

We saw a gap no one was filling.

Every invoicing tool on the market was built for the UK, the US, or New Zealand. Mauritian businesses were left patching together spreadsheets, manually calculating 15% VAT, and Googling MRA deadlines before every quarterly return.

Carine had seen this first-hand as a chartered accountant — clients spending hours on admin that should take minutes. Yudisht and Jennifer had spent two decades designing digital products that make complex things simple. Together, we decided to build the tool Mauritius was missing.

MoKont is the result — an invoicing platform built around how Mauritius actually works. VAT at 15%, MRA return periods, multi-currency invoicing, and income tax estimates, all in one place.
